Museums are fun places for kids to explore, touch, learn, discover, enjoy and most of all have fun! They can bring out the child in all of us. For younger visitors in particular a trip to a museum can be a magical experience that will stay with them forever.

We have lots of events and activities for the family to enjoy all year round. Simply select what type of event you're looking for (eg family) enter the start and finish date and click on search. A list of events will then appear. To get further details click on the event of your choice.

Remember accompanied children under 16 go free at most of our museums and you can save £s with our family and friends Xplorer tickets too. There are also cafes, free on site parking and baby changing facilities at most museums.

We publish a twice yearly Family Friendly leaflet which lists events and activities at all twelve museums. To join our mailing list and receive a copy by post, simply send an e-mail with your postal address details.
