Can I attend an O&S Committee meeting?

Yes. Under the constitution, the public can attend Overview and Scrutiny Committee meetings (except where personal or other confidential items are being considered).

Do I need to make a request to attend a meeting?

It would help us if we knew you were coming. Contact the O&S team if you'd like to come along.

Will I be able to ask questions or make statements at the meeting?

No. Unless you've been asked along specifically to give evidence or answer questions.

If you have not been invited as a witness but you have information or evidence that can contribute to one of the current investigations you can send this information to us. You can also submit a topic for consideration by the Committees if you feel it should be investigated.

For more information about giving evidence to an O&S Committee, please see the guidance notes and the witness charter.
