Tourism is a major sector within the Lancashire economy and developing tourism is part of LCDL's strategy for economic development.

LCDL is helping with this by providing support in specialist areas to the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB), which has the responsibility to lead on the development and marketing of tourism in the Lancashire sub-region.
