Our aim is to promote an increase in the supply of affordable housing, i.e. the total supply of social rent housing and intermediate housing. Note this can include pitches on Gypsy and Traveller sites owned and managed by local authorities or registered social landlords.
Affordable housing is measured as the numbers of affordable dwellings provided in each year, through new build and acquisitions. This does not take account of losses through sales of affordable housing and demolitions.
