Rosebud Business Finance

Rosebud has a large and flexible range of products investing from £10,000 to over £1 million. If you are ambitious and seeking funding for growing your business, we can provide both loans and equity based financial solutions. Rosebud can help you achieve your business objectives including your plans for technology and innovation, plant and equipment, mergers and acquisitions. We are also able to support smaller investments of under £10,000 - see our rosebud micro section for details.

Benefits of rosebud business finance

Finance is offered as loans or equity, or a combination of both, designed to meet the needs of your business on competitive rates and terms. In addition you will have:

  • your own business account manager
  • access to Rosebud Business Development
  • competitive rates of interest agreed at the start of the loan
  • loan rates linked to the Royal Bank of Scotland base rate
  • loans that are typically repayable over one to five years
  • no penalty for early repayment
  • a small, one off administrative fee
Loans

Rosebud provides flexible loans which can be tailored to your business needs at very competitive rates and terms. Loan arrangements will differ depending on the size of the loan and other factors, but typical terms are an interest rate of 4 - 8 % above the Royal Bank of Scotland base rate, a 2.5 % set up fee and a repayment period typically over 5 years.

Equity investment

Equity and equity-related funding will be considered for those investments in limited companies where such a structure is suitable, particularly in the case of higher value investments. Such investments would see Rosebud taking a share in ownership of the limited company and a share of the profits , rather than taking direct loan repayments only. Equity and equity-related funding may also be provided alongside a loan arrangement.

Priority Sectors

Rosebud can invest in any good business idea and we are particularly interested in applications from the following high growth business sectors -

High Growth Potential

Lancashire County Council funds Rosebud to generate more higher value businesses for the future economy and create an increasing number of better paid jobs. Even if your business is not in one of our priority sectors, we are still interested in applications from other industries if you can demonstrate a potential for high growth. For instance, if your plans have good turnover projections and profit margins and will enable new jobs to be created above the average weekly wage (currently £443). Rosebud will not normally invest in ‘lifestyle businesses’ that set out to support 1 or 2 people and show no ambition to grow.
