Each year the Audit Commission has a responsibility to produce an Annual Audit Letter for Lancashire County Council.
This summarises the more important matters arising from the audit for that financial year and comments on other current issues.
This document allows Lancashire County Council and the public to judge whether best value is being delivered and assess how well we are doing as an organisation.
The Audit Commission can also use this document to identify failing services where action may be necessary, and also enable the Government to assess how well its policies are being implemented in Lancashire.
Copies of the Audit Letter are available for download below.
