Lancashire Museums Family Friendly activities offer something for everyone. We have a fantastic variety of events and exhibitions inspired by our collections that will entertain all the family.
Our aim is to inspire children and their families. Children love to explore and discover what's going on around them and our activities let them learn new skills while developing their creative imagination.

Mystery Objects
Every Wednesday our Museum Assistants have mystery museum objects to delight you with.

Story Time
Every Saturday 2.30 - 3.00 pm stories are read aloud in the museum.

Crafty Sunday
Every Sunday 2.00 - 3.00 pm small craft activities take place in the museum.
Entry: Normal museum entry fee and a small charge for the craft activity
Pirate Escapade
Our very own pirate will teach his students all sorts of pirate skulduggery
Date: Sat 18 February
Times: 12 noon onwards, 45 minute sessions
Entry: £2.50 per child; sessions must be pre-booked

Judges' Lodgings Museum events
The Judges' Lodgings Museum is open April 1st - October 31st. Read on for our special open days.
During every school holiday we have family friendly events and workshops.
We are open during February half term - Monday 13th - Friday 17th February 2012 from 12.00pm - 4.00pm.
Join us for a week packed full of family friendly activities about 'Myth and Superstition', from Ancient Egypt to
Pirates.

Lancaster Castle events
Kids Activity Hours at the Shire Hall
A special tour with the under 12s in mind. Join our costumed guides for an exciting trip around the castle. Activities include taking part in a mock trial (you could even be the Judge!). Every child receives a free gift
